CorPower Ocean strengthens Board with two experienced energy leaders

CorPower Ocean is pleased to announce the appointment of Catherine Gras and Santiago Gil to its Board of Directors, further strengthening the company’s strategic leadership as it accelerates the commercialisation of wave energy technology.


Catherine Gras brings more than 25 years of experience in the European energy sector, having held senior leadership roles across strategy, mergers and acquisitions, finance and operations at ENGIE. Over the past decade, she has successfully led Storengy UK and Storengy Deustchland  as CEO, delivering growth across key energy infrastructure businesses. Today, she serves as a Non-Executive Director for three energy companies and seats at the strategic advisory board of a venture capital fund, while actively supporting sustainability initiatives, diversity programmes and early-stage innovation as a business angel.


Santiago Gil joins the Board as Head of Venture Capital at Santander Alternative Investments, where he leads the Climate Tech Venture Capital division. With more than two decades of experience spanning venture capital, energy infrastructure, corporate finance and innovation, Santiago has led investments in climate technology and energy companies from Seed through Series B. His expertise in scaling innovative businesses will provide valuable insight as CorPower Ocean continues its commercial growth journey.


Together, Catherine and Santiago bring complementary experience across global energy markets, strategic investment and business scaling. Their appointments reflect CorPower Ocean’s commitment to building a world-class Board capable of supporting the company’s next phase of growth and its mission to make wave energy a reliable and competitive source of clean electricity.
