CorPower secures WES contract on composite structures

A CorPower led consortium with Balmoral Offshore Engineering and Wave Venture has been awarded a £248,600 development contract from Wave Energy Scotland. The HydroComp project brings innovative material and manufacturing for wave energy devices structures using Balmoral’s long experience in structural design, materials and production for offshore environments, CorPower Ocean and WaveVenture expertise in numerical modelling, design load cases, system design and LCOE analysis.

CorPower Ocean is also involved in the Reinforced Polymers for Wave Energy (RePower) project, which has been awarded £249,614. The project is led by Cruz Atcheson Consulting Engineers, with other partners including Carnegie Wave Energy, Arup Consulting Engineers, DNV GL and the National Composites Centre.
